Longan, Dimocarpus longan

Dimocarpus longan, commonly known as longan, is a tropical fruit tree native to Southeast Asia. It belongs to the same family as lychee (Litchi chinensis), Sapindaceae. The longan fruit is small, round, and has a thin, light brown shell. Inside, it contains translucent, juicy flesh with a sweet and mildly floral taste, surrounding a single dark seed.
